About The Work
I will admit this post will likely be more for my fanfic people that joined from previous communities. So, sorry to those who are here specifically for “Reasons Found In Promises”!
But we are going to be diving very deep into the book proper next week after Ronan’s bio (More on the plan for that in Wednesday’s post), and I really wanted to port this work over before that. Obviously no hard feelings if Hazbin X Reader fanfic is not your cup of tea, but I have to pay homage to where it all started and this is that work. It will always have a place in my heart and on my pages. I won’t claim it to be my magnus opus — it has its faults, and I have grown tremendously as a writer since. But it is dear to me for simply being the work that made me feel like I have something to say, while also taking readers on a fun, unique journey.
Book Summary:
Trigger warnings: A lot of self harm imagery, discussions of torture and abuse, and a good bit of smut towards the end of the book.

After centuries under the thumb of Paimon, by a stroke of luck you meet Lucifer at a party, an old acquaintance of yours. Leading you to be now "employed" at the Hazbin Hotel, run by his daughter and crossing paths with certain gorgeous red-clad demon. One who seemed to be hiding a secret...... that to his great annoyance you are able to discern.
See how you figuring out his secret unfolds in this story, set right after the end of the first season of Hazbin Hotel.

More Author Notes
I thought over for a while what to share first, this or the short story “A Show In The Forest” Which inspired the AU for “Reasons Found In Promises”
However, with Zoey’s bio being shared in the last post, I felt it would be fun to share the fic she shares the most in common with. The reader in here heavily influenced Zoey’s conception as I really enjoy a feminine character that is rough around the edges, but was a moving force in the narrative due to her perceptiveness, sharp mind, and accepting nature. Unconventional strength I guess. I also think this work shares the most similar vibe to “Reasons Found In Promises.” So if you like one, the other will most definitely be up your alley!

We will have another personal post on Wednesday, you will probably be meeting Moo’s cousin Berry. That will also include a bit of a “calendar” for upcoming bios and prequels. And on Friday I plan to do another very exciting post — we will get Ronan’s bio!
